So here I am.

30, great job, great life, great dogs. Everything is great. In fact, if you told me ten years ago this was my life I would tell you that it wouldn’t get much better than this.

This was the jackpot.

But like everything in life, the jackpot is the jackpot until you hit it. And then, after the glitter stops falling, you look around and think, ‘that’s nice, now what’s next?’

It’s one of the most annoying realities of being a human.

So the question?

How do you stop this perpetual, existential, relentless ‘what’s next’ mentality? Well, after being a long-time sufferer of this never-ending nonsense, here are some thoughts.

1. Know you are playing a game that never ends

When you isolate your thoughts to the next thing, you can kinda get away with it being justified.

You’re just ambitious, right?

You want a big life… there’s nothing wrong with that (and of course there isn’t, but this isn’t about being ambitious, this is about the neverending rollercoaster of more and never stopping to realize enough is a real thing worth striving for).
