One article changed the course of my entire life.

3 years ago, I was a year into writing on the internet. I’d been slow to get into the rhythm of it, but I was finally finding my fit.

I felt like I knew what it took to show up and try.

It was a first for me, for the longest time I’d admired entrepreneurship from the sidelines, I’d spent all my time planning — I’d never actually tried.

But I was 12 months into trying.

I was starting to understand the game and so slowly I started to see things that I couldn’t see before.

For a long time, I’d gobbled up these articles that told me I could quit my job in 6 months I wrote on the internet. Six and seven figures were all on the table.

I was excited.

Impatient and excited.

After years of sitting on the sidelines, I’d taken the leap but after 12 months, I realized there was a big part of the puzzle missing.

These articles started to frustrate me.

They got under my skin.
