I get it.

It’s hard. You’re trying, it’s not working. You’re trying again. It doesn’t work — again. You think it’s probably you. Common denominator, right? It’s gotta be you, who else?

Everyone else, they’re flying.

Selling, building, managing, growing, doing stuff. You know. ‘The stuff’.

They’re the picture of success and here you are, failing. At least it feels like that. It feels like you are at the bottom, staring at the top, wondering how on Earth they got all the way up there.

You spiral. You find things. You’re in this headspace now — everything is going wrong. So you start to list all the things. It’s not just your work or your side thing. It’s your life. Your whole entire life — a mess.

One thing after the other after the other.

The aftermath is the sinking realization that maybe you are a complete disaster, everything you thought was at your fingertips, is not. You can’t. You won’t. It’s over.

Aaaaaand breathe.

Racing through listing all the things going wrong with your life is perhaps not the best way to start to make yourself feel better. I know, it’s easy. You’re good at it. You’ve been practicing it your whole life.

But honestly, maybe just breathe. Step back. Look up. And breathe.
