It’s 7 am. I’ve been here since 6:33 am.

This morning, it’s different. I told myself I was stopping the scroll. It’s been a few weeks of the same event playing out repeatedly. I feel the same every single time it happens but yet, only today I’ve decided to stop it — the brain is a funny thing.

For the last few weeks, my mind has been stolen by the ideas of the world.

I’ve been worried about things I would never think twice about.
I’ve been scared of things I wouldn’t usually be phased by.
I’ve been worn down by ideas I’m usually resilient to.

I’ve wasted hours of my life scrolling on these platforms that add no benefit. They simply take my optimistic, peaceful thoughts and replace them with doom.

And it bleeds into my day. What was destined to be a good, peaceful experience is soured by something I’ve seen on the internet.

Today I’ve decided to stop that.

Steal back your time

So I’m setting out a new stall.

I’m starting fresh. I’m resetting the space in my mind to feel better. So my days feel more like my own. So my mind isn’t influenced by the ideas of people I’ve never met.
