Humans made it, humans can beat it
HIV is harmless without human cells.
In order to infect, HIV latches onto a type of white blood cell, infects it, then infuses with it, replicates and eventually releases more HIV into the blood. And those cells it’s destroying in the process? They are the cells that make up your immune system.
There is something strikingly similar between this story and another. The one of invisible distraction. The one of wanting to be a version of yourself and falling to the distractions of the world around you.
