How to capture attention the right way

It was a normal Wednesday afternoon when the postman knocked on the door. These days you don’t actually greet anyone at the door so once I’d made it to the door the postman was already on his way to his next house. Pandemic or no pandemic, I get it, the guy has got a lot of houses to go to.

So I picked up the post as I usually would and sifted through the rubbish. Let’s be honest, most of us don’t pay attention to letters these days. It’s surprising people still send letters at all, but we’ll get to that.

To my neighbour

Yet it had a stamp on it.

Of the three letters in the pile, one junk, one bill, and this. This one caught my attention.

I knew this person couldn’t be my neighbour otherwise they would have hand delivered it instead of posting it with a stamp. Anyway, mildly confused, I was intrigued enough to open it. Inside I found a hand-written note and a magazine.

Who writes hand-written notes these days?

Intrigued I continued on, and as I read one thing came to mind. This person is a marketing genius.

1. Be Completely Inefficient
