6 Things I Let Go of to Live a Better Life
My recipe for success
Thoughts are the foundation of a good day.
For me, at least. If my mind is healthy and operating from a place of abundance and excitement, I’m winning.
When thoughts stem from there, everything feels like an opportunity.
If, though, I’m scared, frustrated, or overwhelmed, my mind reflects that. Self-doubt seeps in, and all my thoughts echo that undercurrent in my mind.
Recognition of that is the cornerstone of living a good life, at least for me, it’s step one, with step 2 being elimination.
Here’s everything I recognised and the thoughts I’ve learned to let go of before I could eliminate the things that held me back.
1. Try to be great every single day
The bar I set for myself used to be unattainable.
I wouldn’t be doing the things I wanted to be doing, so in an attempt to get my life back on track, I’d overestimate and overcommit, which just ended up putting me further behind.
I realised it was because of this idea that every day had to be fantastic; otherwise, I would get further behind. I expected that every day, I’d show up at my best.
